The YWCA of Northwest Georgia publishes an annual report each fall providing a recap of the year's financial information, along with a list of government, individual and business supporters.
Annual Reports
The YWCA kicked off their Capital Campaign in 2010 to raise funds to renovate the Administrative Offices and shelter. With less than $1 million left to raise, they are pushing forward to reach their goal.
As we moved into our 93rd year of operations, the board and staff continue to focus ondelivering programs and services to best meet the growing needs of our community. We are focused on our vision―a community free of domestic violence and sexual
assault.
The YWCA of Northwest Georgia continues to be the only social service organization providing domestic violence and sexual assault services to victims of these crimes in Cobb County and emergency sexual assault services in Cobb, Cherokee, and Paulding counties for victims over 13 years of age.
The YWCA USA celebrated its 150th year in 2008 as we at the YWCA of Northwest Georgia reached our 91st year of serving the citizens of this community. Over these many years, we have seen much change in our community. Whether sending packages to soldiers overseas during WWI and WWII, preparing thousands of meals to be served to local civic clubs, providing swimming lessons to young and old, or opening the first domestic violence shelter in the State of Georgia, your YWCA has been a steadfast community partner for over 91 years.
As we moved into our 92nd year of being part of this great community, the board and staff continued to streamline our programs and services. We fine-tuned our vision which now states "Our Vision is a community free of domestic violence and sexual assault." This allows us to solely focus on the women, children, men and families impacted by these crimes.
